Odd And The Frost Giants, by Neil Gaiman (2009, UK)

Odd is a guy whose father died... His life is in a small village and his adventure begins during a long winter, with a fox leading him to a bear and an eagle: they turn out to be Loki, Thor and Odin, beaten by the Frost Giants and turned into animals. Odd is to help them back to Asgard. Nice.

Ford Perfect lives in a small town in the UK... but he's here waiting, from several years ago, a lift to somewhere else in the galaxy. Their adventure begins this way and, lift after lift, Arthur learns truths about universe, Earth, mice... So hilarious and deep.

Really involving.

A new adventure, despite Rincewind: Cohen the warrior (now in his 80s), druids on rock clouds, the Unseen University, Bethan, the Magic Shop, the red star coming closer, the Magic Book and many other things. Simply great.
